91 Vandura Heater Core Removal

Trying to remove Heater Core from my 1991 Vandura. Have dash/defrost ducts, heater distributor removed as per manuals. Manual says that there are "3" nuts on engine cmpartment side that need to be removed.
I cannot find any nuts to remove. Does not say to remove the Engine compartment housing...just overflow tank so the two hoses to core can be removed.

Won't take much to JUNK this van. Only use occassionally but it is still in good shape and runs well. Core is leaking so it need changing.

Never had to take so much off to replace a $30 item. Nearly have to gut the dash including lowering the steering column.
