1999 Honda Accord

Hello to all. I have been brought out of retirement for a friend of mine. She has a 99 Accord and reports that the engine dies while driving. No warning or anything. Someone hooked a scanner on it and shows "random misfire". I think it something fuel related or electrical. Any suggestions as to where I should concentrate on.

Thank you in advance!
Blessings to all and have a great day and or eve!\

Re: 1999 Honda Accord

Believe it or not the majority of people here drive Accords, so more meaningful subject line will bring your problem more reader/ideas.

It is good to know mileage and maintenance history of the vehicle, so spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, all may be a suspect.

I have seen few threads about Accords of this generation dieing unexpectedly. Mine included! That problem could be traced most likely to the problems with ignition switch. But there are very few of them that I could find information for.

Good luck,

Sam
