Unhappy 1996 chevy sububqn misfire problem

Hello there I have a 1996 chevy suburban 275000 on it w/5.7 350 vortex. I did a 300 mile trip and did just fine till about last 20 miles I could feel a misfire so I got to where I needed and next day went to town and it started bogging down and lost all power and goin up a small hill it died and would not start up so I checked fuel pump and ground was not grounding right so I fixed the problem but when I turned it on i can feel a serious misfire so I changed fuel pump, fuel filter, spark cables and plugs and made sure all firing order is correct I also checked distributor cap and for lose rotor and still da same problem it turns on but has no power at all so I went through each cylinder and unplugged spark cable on each one, one by one and it would die besides number 3 cylinder every time I would unplug it it would remain the same I checked the plug for cracks and cable for cuts and made sure cable was sending fire and everything good I also noticed it seemed like it was not burning fuel good bcuz of black smoke from tail pipe and catalytic converter getting red hot, I talked to a good friend of mine and he told me that the spider assemblie or injectors on the vortecs have a good name for clossing up and not delivering any fuel to the cylinder can somebody please give me some ideas before changing spider assemblie out or can I remove assemblie myself and open the "injector" myself or is something else? I go home in 7 days and I need my vehicle running please help

do the full fuel pressure test, most likely too much fuel is leaking into the #3 cyl or another cyl..leak down test of fuel pressure with guage will show this ..also when this is all corrected don't be surprised if the glowing cat converter is plugged..if so replace the upstrean O2 sensors..

the O2 sensors saw excessive fuel this then caused the computer to max lean...trying to compensate for the defective fuel delivery..
