Volkswagen Type 2 Bus (1963)

Hi again,

It was on February 1950 when volkswagen decided to produce the type 2 after the great success of the type 1 (the beetle ), so I would like to dedicate this post ( and the next following posts ) to celebrate the 60 years of volkswagen type 2 which has made its way in our history.

This is a 1963 vw type 2 bus from hasegawa, painted with the combination of TS 18 Metallic Red and TS 26 pure white. I lowered the ride heights ( as usual) and I really wanted to keep the original wheels for this one but I couldn't stand the look of it because I thought that the original tyres were too "skinny". so I made a little modification using unused wheels ( I cut the centre part and put the original wheel into it) and tyres.

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

Best Regards

Very nice! I agree with you on the wheels...they fit the stance well.
