Just got a 2010 Ram 1500 (4.7L V8) for a work truck, but it didn't come with cruise control. And, no, I didn't have a say in what equipment level the truck came with. The boss was just as surprised as me it didn't have cruise control, so he suggested I make necessary arrangements to get cruise installed.
I ordered a
Rostra cruise control kit (p/n 250-9001) that says it is for several Dodge models,
specifically including the 2009-2010 Ram pickups. Problem is, the instructions provided don't cover the 2009-2010 Ram trucks.
The electrical connections looks pretty straightforward, but what isn't clear is how to remove the airbag and steering column plastics, etc. necessary to mount the cruise control lever.
Anyone happen to have the service manual pages or know how to take out the airbag/disassemble steering column plastics on a 2010 Ram 1500?
All information/insight how this comes apart would be greatly appreciated.
