Williams F1 BMW FW24 (half view) 1/20 Tamiya

hey guys, let me show you my last build of 2009.
this is the best F1 kit what I've seen from Tamiya. started as full view version and ended up as 'half view'

Williams F1 BMW FW24 (half view) 1/20 Tamiya

some close-up from the engine

and some without wheels still in progress

thanks for looking! I hope you like it....
let me know what you think!

Cheers,
Tom

I love the clear half concept! Brings interest to the model and has nice detail.

I like it very much! Well done

It's just a shame that there seems to be no good solution for the ejector pin marks in the clear parts

Cheers mate!
good luck with your build!
it's a great fun but some parts are quite tricky....
such as applying CF decals on the inside of the painted parts....

Hi,

I just can agree with Steve, great job (incl. decalling inside the nose !!!! ).

These ejector pin marks stop me from making a clear view model

G'day mate... awesome job.... and great pics too.... give me inspiration to get mine out and start... wondering if you wouldnt mind sharing some info...

What clear glue / adhesive did you use for it and were there any really tricky parts in the build? Mine has the extra details (the metal and PE parts as well), do they all fit easily enough?, so any info you can give would be hugely appreciated...

thanks mate!
no tricky parts, really, this is one of the best Tamiya kit I've seen! no fitment problems at all. my kit had those extra deatils as well and a CF decal sheet too but I made my own temlpates just in case....
gluing the clear and painted parts I used Tamiya craft bond taped them together and left it for overnight. you can try 'gorilla' ultra bonder super glue as well! I hope that helps. PM me if you have more questions!
Cheers,
