2002 replacement radiator fan shroud doesn't fit

Having the radiator on our 2002 replaced with an OEM part and the shop guy tells me that the old fan shroud doesn't mate with mounting holes on the new one. This radiator was bought from an Isuzu dealer do, recent OEM parts require a new fan shroud too for proper installation?

My guess is that generations got mixed up.

I recently replaced my radiator with one from NAPA. The fan shroud did not bolt up properly. I had to rig it. The first one I got from NAPA did mount properly. Wish I could explain that.
