Canuck-
The best RF amp for you application would be the 200M. its a mono output and is stable if you wire up two 4 ohm subs in parallel to it.

By the way if you bridge an amp it see half the ohm load that you put to it so two 4 ohm subs wired in parallel reads two ohms at the speaker wires but the amp actually plays at 1 ohm.

ok, well if i get my 2 8 ohm type-s 10 inchers like i want, THEN is it possible to run a quality amount of power from the 200s or 300s i was talking about in the first post of this thread, cause im really not into spending ridiculous amounts of money, maybe $400 max (canadian) on an amp, i know u get what you pay for and all...but yah
to give u an idea, that 300s is 400 canadian, then 200 is $320

the 200M, its cheap ya, good price, but only puts out 100 at 4 ohms? so if im running 100 to both 4 ohm subs, i wont be getting that much out of both will i, cause that 100 has to be divided up and stuff doesnt it
correct if im wrong

if u get the 200M & hook up two 4ohm subs in parallel it will supply 200watts to ur speakers & that's RMS. RF is usually very under-rated on power & the lower the ohms ur running the more efficient the speakers r. My friend is running 3 JL 10's DVC in parallel to a high current Orion amp that is rated at 25watts and it's really pumping out hundreds of watts & it sounds amazing.

You really should look for a more powerful speaker than your amp can push. in other words if your amp is going to be putting out around 200RMS look for a sub with at least a 250 RMS rating. Especially if your going with a rockford amp. I can tell you from personal experience that they push way way more than their specified output. in fact i blew a 500 watt RMS sub on a rockford amp only rated at 250 RMS. one thing to keep in mind is that if you have one sub pushing 50 watts compared to one sub pushing 100 watts, the 100 watt sub is not going to be twice as loud. in fact it takes five times the power to double the output. what you should really look into is the power handling plus the excursion(Xmax). in the end it all comes down to how much air you can move when dealing with subs. this is one of the reasons JL audio subs are so expensive because they have some of the longest excursions in the industry. in the end it all depends on what your looking for: a system thats real LOUD with alot of spl, or a system that is loud but is more oriented toward sound quality rather than SPL(oh yea also theres that little factor I almost forgot about called money).

ok, well, i went to a few more audio shops today takin a look, ALL said i could run the 200s with 2 type-S in parrallel? but they said it would be underpowered? but now i might just dump the bridged speaker amp idea and just get a proper mono sub amp like an MTX T4250D or a kenwood 819, anybody with any experience with either?

The 200M will run with two 4 ohm subs wired in parallel because its a mono amp. if you run it this way the load will be 2 ohms there by running the power around 200 watts. And yes the other guy is right, RF is underrated as far as power goes. But i do have to disagree with him blowing the 500w sub with a small amp. Speakers blow easier if they are underpowered....
