I've got a 93 camry and want to replace all 4 struts on the car but when I ordered the parts the front struts look nothing like the struts I have now. looking at strut retailer sites they all say they those are correct. The front struts I have installed now are the same size as the back ones but the new ones I received are much smaller, Im confused IDK if the design changed or what. Here is the link to new struts I received...http://174.143.96.117/BIN/images/KYB/334131.jpg ... And here is a link to the struts that are installed right now... https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i...650110976-1&zw .... Now this is the new strut I received kinda hard to tell the size difference in the pic but definitely smaller then whats installed... https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i...843154432-1&zw
Any suggestions will help. thank you |

Re: Struts for 93 Camry
You may try getting the part number from Toyota with your VIN and matching it with the aftermarket parts. There are a number of people here with that model Camry. They should respond.

Re: Struts for 93 Camry
The gmail links to your inbox don't work since we don't have your password, nor want it. Try posting them to your reply thread (100kB max) instead or on a server such as Photobucket or Flickr.
Each strut has its own part number though the left and right are just mirrored to accommodate attachments for brake line support, ABS, etc. They may or may not be the same exterior dimensions, but should function the same. However, the critical dimensions are the mounting bolts to spring landing, landing angle to strut barrel, spring landing diameter, shaft length, and others. You should take up your concerns with the supplier and verify your items are correct for your vehicle...KYB is a reputable company but I do recall seeing a few instances where the struts rattled after installation. Hopefully they'll set you right. Good luck!
