03 cvpi code p2197
Hi all, I have an 03 that keeps popping a 2197 code. I've checked for the obvious vacuum leaks around the hoses and the car runs perfect so I'm a but stumped. It comes on about once avery 4 days. Other than a smoke test or spraying carb clean all around the hoses, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: 03 cvpi code p2197
DTC 2197 - Sensor signal stuck lean (Bank 2, sensor 1).
Was this H02 sensor replaced? Also look for a damaged H02 sensor wire on bank 2 (cylinders 5-8) , the upstream HO2 sensor 1 is the one befor the cat. |

Re: 03 cvpi code p2197
02 sensor was not replaced but the pass side manifold gasket was recently.

Re: 03 cvpi code p2197
Of the manifold gasket was recently replaced, it's possible that there is a leak in it giving a false lean condition to the H02 on this side. Alternatively, the sensor may just be going bad. See if you can get your hands on a scan tool that can monitor O2 outputs. It should be switching rich/lean.
