Dental Patient's..How Much Does An Implant Cost.?

Hey everyone, anyone have experiance getting dental implants..? If you don't know what that is, it's when you're missing a tooth, and want to get it replaced to not look like a pirate..

They insert a titanium screw into the bone, then connect a fake tooth to it..and bond it with a cement.

I ask this cause one of my teeth (the one that i said cracked a week ago) has to be pulled, it's "beyond repair" the dentist said. He suggested getting an implant after it's pulled...but wouldn't go into the cost..? He was like "we'll figure that out when everything is done".... WTF..?

It seems pretty simple, yank a tooth, drill in a titianium post, then make up a tooth...put the sucker in...done.

Anyone know how much it is..?

Iv been told about NZ$5-7,000 for one of my front teeth to be replaced with an implant.
You can work that out in US $ for yourself.

FUCKING EXPENSIVE!!!! the reason he wants to go into costs after he pulls the tooth, so then you are fucked. You either have a hole in your mouth or you pay his price for the implant. Sounds extremely shaddy. I'd recomend finding a new dentist and(assuming you don't have insurance) tell them you're paying for it yourself and they will often be willing to work with you on the price(because they fuck the insurance companies all the time, they usually don't have a problem with this). When i was a little kid(like 5 or 6) I went to the dentist and he told me i had 5 cavities!! My mom was like thats fucking bullshit!! we went to another dentist and were told that i only had 1. Low and behold like 2 years down the road the previous dentist got sued for insurance fraud/malpractice after pulling all the teeth from a child and replacing them with metal implants, after telling the parents that the child would only need 2 implants. Fucking shady dentists man. Peace-

Seriously these f**king doctors really charge too much money. I love it when they gotta do surgery, and they come up with like $300,000.. It's like they just pulled that out there ass. Just like mechanics, you go in to get a belt replaced..they charge like $70 labor....a 10 minute job.

You know what really pisses me off, i'm gonna start to work 2 jobs...to save up $8-10K in 7 months to get my 98-02 Ls1 camaro....and i sure as hell aint gonna take that money i saved up, and spend it on one tooth. Hell the toth is one of the back ones anyway (2nd tooth from the wizdom).. Hopefully though i'll get good insurance to help out.

i broke one of my front teeth at a concert four years ago but only about 1/4 of my tooth got broken off. they "bonded" it which means they just mixed some cement type stuff together to match the color of my real tooth and voila! i have a whole tooth again. i was told that they need to be replaced about every 5 years (mine is perfectly fine though). to give you a price range, my 1/4 of my tooth cost about $200 for the insurance if i remember correctly. so i would times that by maybe 4 or 5 because molars are obviously bigger and especially if they have to do the whole thing, not only 1/4 of it. hope that helps!

actually it would be more than that because they have to drill into the bone and put in a titanium screw, etc.

I had a tooth bonded a while ago, and it looks bad now. Other people say the don't notice anything, but I can. Are these "implants" different than veneers? I'm confused as to whether these are the same or not...

i had to have a root canal and a crown put on, cost over 2000, good thing my union covers all medical expenses for me, i didnt pay a cent.
