Upper Intake Manifold - Intrigue 98, Service Engine Light on

I replaced the upper intake manifold with new one but did not have the interior upper hose inside the manifold and had all ready tossed the old one. Car seems to run find but have service engine light one - did this hose do something for the MAP? I have service book but nothing is mentioned. Please help if possible. THANKS!

Yeah Im pretty sure the MAP sensor operates with input from air pressure from that tube...

I broke my MAP sensor when I replaced the UIM on my old Bonneville and like you said it didnt really have any driveability issues, and I didnt notice any difference when I replaced it except for my CEL going off.

It might impact gas mileage to a degree, not really sure what all it does.
