4 wheel drive actuator

My 4 wheel drive stopped working, I got a new actuator and put it in. Seems that it is still not working. The light on console never lights up when I put the lever in 4H or 4L, any ideas anyone. because the light does not function, could it be wire, and if so, how can I test?

Re: 4 wheel drive actuator

,Their is one thermal Actuator and one Iindicator switch you can put it in 4 whell drive and hook the purple wire to positive and the black to neg and this will make it engage fully ,This came handy when my went out and i did a quick fix. I Have electronic ploblems some where else so i use this and you have to unhook it after im done ,the light still does not come on because of other ploblems but when i was stucked this worked and you can tell its working :
