Monte Carlo Trouble Code P0410 - Connected To Catalytic?
We have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS and the catalytic converter was just replaced by the dealership at 130,000 miles. Immediately after leaving the dealership our check engine light came on. We went back and they said it was a fuse near the air pump and replaced it. The next day the light came back on. It's throwing the code P0410, which means air pump. Chevy is claiming it's not their fault, but my research shows it's related to the cat, which they changed. Is there any way the catalytic replacement caused this?

No, it usually is the solenoid /check valve or air motor shorted.

So it's just an unlucky coincidence. Darn.

I like to work on my own stuff, because of sabotage!
A good fuse canbe replaced with a bad fuse, and down the road (drive cycle), it will throw a code. |
