what's wrong with altezzas?

why are altezzas considered rice? i think my car looks a lot better with the chrome altezzas than stock red lights. i'm just getting started with my mods. i'm planing on getting a body kit, intake, and maybe a turbo. but that's a long ways off, so the only mods i can do are cheap mods. am i consider rice? i noticed that most new cars come with altezzas or euros. are the new stock cars considered rice also? oh wells

Altezzas look nice on a silver TEG. I'm not feeling the ones you got though. I think the red dots are too small.

Well for starters I think we All know that Rice/F.O.B. (fresh off the boat)
Are all really plaid out terms. We all know that driving a Honda "doesn't nessisarily make us Better than others, just a little smarter."

My buddy has a 97' I believe, and he bought the BIG RED DOT, with shiney shit around it and it looks sweet. I just got a New digital camera. So I'll see if I can't get some pic.'s of his ride....

thanks for the responses guys or girls. here's a closer pic of my tails. it didn't cost me that much (around $40), so i'm not that much in debt. i was considering the all red euros but they costed 3 times more than what i paid for the current tails. i'm a cheap bastard . get those pics of your friend's teg up, i want to compare the tails. my tails have small red dots.

Anyhooo. Is that rice? In my opinion, yes to a certain degree. The new cars that come out with them are not rice because they come that way. Atezza tail lights were created to make hondas look like lexus's. I know yours doesnt look anything like a Altezza, but that was the original purpose of those.... things. All I got to say is... as said in my sig.... "Take your time, do it right, and never settel for less" If it was a turbo you wanted, and all you could afford was altezzas... you shoulda waited, and got what you wanted... and not what you could afford. If you truely like those altezzas, then keep on liking them. There will be haters where ever you go, and with whatever it is that you do. Just know that if you truely like them, then thats all that matters. Who are you fixing up your car for... you or them. Who do you want to please.. you or them. So no matter how much I, or anyone dislikes them, SO WHAT! Doesnt really matter. But if we can pursuade you into not liking them anymore... then did you truely like them to begin with? A couple years ago when they first came out, I was going to buy them.. just because they were different... but different isnt always good....

The guy who owns it lives in my town of Charleston SC. He got it about a year ago. But he just sold it and bought a blue Lamborghini Diablo. His kid is in a class that I student teach at. He owns European Motorsports an auto shop. He also has 2 Ferrari's.

What amazes me is that he can afford all these cars while he has a wife and 4 kids!

You probably have seen this Diablo before though. Look a couple of months back in Motor Trend Magazine. There is an article about the Cannonball Run. In it is a picture of his car spinning the wheels on a dirt road as he slides around in his yellow Diablo.
