Differences between PCV Valves

Is there any appreciable difference between PCV valve brands? I wanted one of the higher end brands of PCV valves, but my local Advanced Auto Parts was out of stock, so I used the Purolator brand.

Thank you in advance,
CCM

Re: Differences between PCV Valves

As long as you don't have oil blow-by contamination on your MAF, IACT, and Air filter.

I am relatively new to car repair. Would you mind explaining this to me?

Re: Differences between PCV Valves

The PCV valve is a check valve, it's job is to allow PCV gas and to block oil.
During the Air filter replacement, did you see any oil on your air filter?

No oil on the air filter. I don't quite understand the block oil statement. Would you please explain it a bit more explicitly to me?

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
