07 Caravan power side door not closing completely

The passenger side door on my 2007 Caravan is not closing completely sometimes, when using the interior control button. Anyone have a suggestion on where to look first? Looking at the listing of Caravan threads, side door problems don't seem that common. Am I right?
One day later: Now neither interior side buttons will operate the doors on either side. Don't think either button is bad since both don't work. But the buttons on the overhead front console do operate both doors. Also the remote will still operate the doors, but the passenger side door still does not close quite completely. Must push it closed manually.

Re: 07 Caravan power side door not closing completely

oh the joy of these doors, your doors are controlled by a computer only the dealer can access, they will need to reprogram/adjust your doors, the clutch plates get worn and can be flipped but is alot of work. We use our remote which works most of the time even when the overhead and side door buttons dont..we went to dealer to have this done on ours once and it was a couple hundred to do, it worked great for awhile and is back to which button will close the door this time. out of the 3 buttons to push to close of open a door most of the time 1 does work. electrical is important, had a bad battery once that causee this, and had a bad door lock that caused the doors not to open either, maybe check these things first to make sure they are working, will check more but later on this and post back...

Re: 07 Caravan power side door not closing completely

I have a 05 with power doors. I had a problem with one not closing all the way. It would stop about just short of closing. I found a broken wire in the wire harnes that is in side the plastic track, fixed it soldering the wires and taping it up. With your problem on the buttons, I know that the van must be in park and the doors unlocked, if you try to open them before that it will disengage the system. I hope this helps.
