351 cleveland deck height

i swapped a US cleveland with cast iron heads to a aussie cleveland with alum heads / now i cannot find an intake manifold to fit without some kind of spacers / does anyone know if the deck height is different between the two blocks? and could this be the problem? thanx ron

Re: 351 cleveland deck height

Ron,

It can only be one of two things. The deck height or the manifold "flange" on the heads. This assumes the intake is truly a Cleveland and not a "Boss 302", correct?

Edelbrock part #2864. For use on the 9.5" deck block. Standard deck is 9.2".
