01 Grand caravan sport- replacing fuse box
Looking for some information. I need to replace the fuse box for my 2001 grand caravan sport (one under the hood). I've been told that it will need a code reset.... does anyone know where to look for this information? I've searched for hours and can not find ANYTHING on it. I can install the part by myself easily... but need to know the reset code.
help? |

Re: 01 Grand caravan sport- replacing fuse box
If it's anything like the one I just did on a 2003 there isn't any code reset to do. Are you re-using the forward control module (FCM) from your original fuse panel (IPM)?

Re: 01 Grand caravan sport- replacing fuse box
If the FCM is the silver box that is attached to the front of the fuse box, then no, I wasn't going to- the fuse box I just bought has one on it already. I was going to change the entire unit. Does this make a difference?

Re: 01 Grand caravan sport- replacing fuse box
Doesn't really make a difference. Are the part numbers on both FCMs the exact same? The last 2 letters may be different without any trouble (as long as the new one is higher in the alphabet. Eg. old unit ends in AC and new is AE). Or, if they are different you can remove your old one and put it on the new IPM. There really isn't anything to do other than unplug the old unit and plug in the new one. Very simple.
