01V6 Mustang won't blow cold air after warm
Hello and thanks for looking. My mustang has been perfect since I bought it new but now I seem to have a annoying problem. After driving a little while yesterday I started the stang in front of a store and it had kind of a rough idle. I revved it a bit and it kicked that and sounded fine. After getting on the road I turned the temp knob to cold so it would let out side air in with out using the ac. it was 45ish out side and instead of that it kept blowing out the hot air as if it was at max heat temp. I was very confused I have never had this happen so I pulled over and made sure it wasn't over heating. The temp was fine and no engine light. So I tried again and then tried the ac once again it just blows out hot air even on max ac. I checked the ac fuse and fan fuses this morning. I hooked the mustang up to my laptop obdII scanner and everything looks perfect the temp goes right down after it gets to hot and it said no fault codes. I fell it maybe a relay or a maybe a switch problem but I don't want to go messing with electronics until I know. Thanks in advanced for any help and thank you for looking at this.

no it doesn't the engine revs don't seem to change when I turn it on either. I was hoping it wasn't something that bad.

Re: 01V6 Mustang won't blow cold air after warm
no I just found out about this problem so I haven't had a service on it yet wanted to see if was anything that I might be able to fix. But when we turn it to cold it does kind of have a odd smell kind of like a water smell if that makes sense
update: I tried again today and realized that it does seem to know when the ac is on when I put max ac on after it warms up the rpms goes down a bit and it blows harder when I put it MAX and slightly less when it is just on ac but it still blows out just red hot air. Once Again thanks for any help

Re: 01V6 Mustang won't blow cold air after warm
I have gotten the ac compressor to work now it must have been something with the neons that were put in by the last owner. I undid the main wire for them and after a good bump it pulled a wire to the back of the car out. I happened about the same time and I didn't think about it but after taping the wires together to complete the circuit I can hear and smell the AC compressor come on. they are some how hooked into the head lights don't know what that means or why it would make the ac compressor not work. It seems though that it still blows hot air. So now I am wondering if it its just the switch for the temp door or if this mustang even has one of those. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for any info.
