Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Hello,

It's been a long long time since I posted any completed model here. I didn't build anything since september 2008 because I moved to Australia to continue study.

After 15 months hiatus, I started building kit again on December 10th 2009.

This is a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The kit is from tamiya, but I added 20" Varianza Schwertz from Aoshima, GT wing from fujimi, Seat Belt set frm crazy model and I made the RS decals myself.

Let me know what you think and Thanks for looking.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Very nice, I thought it was a 996 Mk2 transkit at first glance. Love the white with blue details. My only criticism would be that the wheels look a tad bit too big, Otherwise excellent work

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Nice Porsche, good decal work, congratulations ! I don't really like the rims though, especially painted in blue like you did, one edge out of two, that's very... strange !

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Very nice work! I like that transkit, and I have this kit too. But I'll going to build it OOB. One thing that I don't like it's the caliper's color. I think it doesn't match with the white / blue of the rest of the car...

CHEERS, and happy new year.

I like it, it looks good in that combo, good combination of the blue on the rims, decals, seatbelts, I like it!

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Nice work, looks good, the wheels may be a tad big but they almost look like the RS's wheels, Great Job!!!

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

I don't really like the color you chose, but the execution was nice. The decals came out super. Nice finish, also a lot of people forget to give the headlights a trim, but you didn't.

Very nice, I like the colour scheme too. And you made a good job of the black window surrounds which are always a challenge with a white colour which will show every imperfection.

I like it! The colors work well together and the wheels fill the guards quite well. All in all, it's quite an attractive build!

Well, I searched for a side-view picture of 911 GT3 RS on google images.
After I found one, I used microsoft picture manager to cut and resize the picture (in order to get only the GT3 RS logo for a template) , and after that I used microsoft paint to change the color ( the original picture was a red gt3 rs logo, meanwhile I really wanted a 911 GT3 with blue RS logo ).
After I finished changing the color of the RS logo (using microsoft paint), I copied the picture and pasted it to a blank microsoft word document. From there, I printed off the RS logo using my regular inkjet printer with decal paper.

Cheers
