1993 Buick Park Avenue, squeaky right front
Have tried everything to find the cause of squeak. Sometimes contant loud squeaking, sometimes a minor squeak, sometimes none at all. It is in the right front, somewhere around the back of hood and bottom of windshield. Can't seem to eliminate it. We had the same problem with a 1995 Olds Regency as well.
Would appreciate any input someone may have. Thank you. |

Worn brake pad or when idling, the serpentine belt

Quote:
Is it sitting with the motor idling? If so, take off the serpentine belt and check each of the rotating hubs for play and noise when spinning, power steering, alternator, idler pulley, AC pump. |

Re: 1993 Buick Park Avenue, squeaky right front
Only happens when the car is moving. Sounds like the windshield squeaking most of the time and seems to move from lower right corner of w/s to right side of w/s. I have tried tightening the hood and spraying lubricant at the base of the windshield under the hood. Sometimes I can drive for miles with no noise and then it starts all over again.
Thanks for your feedback. |

try spaying silicone along the dash and windsheild or it could be the little cover that covers the screw on each end of the dash try going though and tightening all the trim screws you can find that is some ideas

Re: 1993 Buick Park Avenue, squeaky right front
Check if the wind speed or direction has anything to do with it.
Still it sounds like what I had when I just got my PA. The squeaking noise seemed to come from the windshield, dashboard and sometimes the sunroof. It took me a while to discover that it really was a worn brake pad. |

Re: 1993 Buick Park Avenue, squeaky right front
I had a windshield wiper blade causing a noise. I am not sure what it sounded like; it was too many years ago. It may have sounded like a plastic squeak between the dash and bottom of the windshield. It was something about the way it parked on my leSabre. It might have been touching the metal of the hood as it was parked.
