My Eagle is dying, oil in overflow bottle
I have an 89 Eagle Premiere and I have oil in my coolant overflow bottle. My mechanic told me it wasn't worth fixing. He also suggested as a last desperate attempt to have it run longer to use "Water Glass" or sodium silicate as i've come to find it is called.Anyone heard of this? If so, how much do I need? |

I haven't heard of that product. While I understand you wanting to squeeze some more life out of the car, it's dying now, sad to say. I would really give it up, hate to have you trust some "product", and have your engine finally freeze out in the boondocks.

This late I don't know if you have wisely given up or not but my neighbor used that product on an old 80's Caddy and it actually worked. That was last summer and still no leaks.
