fuel pump
I have three 98 luminas. One has a 3.1 and the other two have 3.8's. I had to replace the fuel pump in one of the 3.8s last year and now the other 3.8 needs to be replaced. The fuel pump module is quite expensive from about $300 to over $500. I found a pump only on line for about $70 or $80 last year. I am ready to by a couple of them this time. Will the same Pump work in both the 3.8 and the 3.1? Looking on line, some web sights show the same pump for both cars and others sights show they are different. The pump I am looking at is by Airtex model E3240. It says its for a 3.1 LTZ. I though the LTZ model were the cars with the bigger 3.8 engines. If it is something other than the engine size, maybe you could also help me out with just what the LTZ model are and how they differ from the basic model.
Thanks in advance. |

Re: fuel pump
I don't think the airtex have a good reputation for quality and longevity!

Re: fuel pump
Best to stay with AC Delco for the best performance from your system.
