OFF Topic: x beam wrenches

I have been following numerous threads on this site and there are a lot DIY's. Does any one have a opinion on the x-beam or cross beam ratcheting wrenches. Do they work on these type of vehicles of today or are to long and take up to much room with the flat side taking more room. I have found some good deals on these wrenches.

Thanks

Larry

None of these are perfect.
I prefer the flat ratcheting wrench with adjustable angle, like this:

A Windstar without having the check engine light is not a real Windstar.

Re: OFF Topic: x beam wrenches

I have looked at them also, but the x beam I have found is a 12 piece metric set for $50.00. Pretty hard to beat the little over 4 bucks a wrench so I think I will try them.
thanks for input serge saati and welcome any other preferences or opinions.

Re: OFF Topic: x beam wrenches

I think you can find a better deal at Napa. 8 wrenches for 20 bucks.

Re: OFF Topic: x beam wrenches

I looked at Napa also and they have a 7 pc for $29.99 in my area, if I could find a 8pc for 20 bucks I would go for that. Actually Ace hardware has a 4pc standard or metric ratcheting for $9.99 which I have already purchased, can't beat that price.
