power brakes

I had to change the vacuum can on my power brakes in a 2001 ford escape 3.0 and now my pedal is going half way down to the floor. no air in the lines and rear adjustment should be ok since the pedal was high before I changed the booster can. is there some kind of adjustment on the pedal rod that I missed ?

Re: power brakes

There is an adjustment ... not sure on your model if its on pedal push-rod, or on the booster piston. Haynes usually has a pretty good description of the system.
