4WD whining noise
I have a 2002 Trailblazer with 100,00 miles. Up until now I have had no 4WD problems. Now there is a whining noise when using 4WD mainly on deceleration around 25 mph to 5 mph when on snow. I know you are not supposed to use 4WD on dry pavement but it is much louder when you do. I have changed the axle and transfer case fluids with no results. There also seems to be a burning smell. Any ideas?

Re: 4WD whining noise
Welcome to AF, is the nose from the ft diff. ? Was there any metal in the fluid from the ft diff. ?
