Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

Think what you want about the looks of a PTC, but they have so little power it is sickening. My wife has an '04 ltd with the 2.4L DOHC. I have never seen an automobile have such little power and simultaneously have such crappy gas mileage!

Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

Not sure what you think is good mileage, but my 2001, and my girlfriends 2005 get 25 around town and 30 on the highway consistently and one is automatic (hers) and mine is a 5 speed. I love the looks, and the performance. They do everything we ask them to do, and draw positive comments where ever we go.

Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

My turbo PT has close to 300hp, and is faster than a Mustang GT, AND gets 26 mpg on the highway. I even passed a Porsche Boxter once and he couldn't keep up with me, I was up to 125mph before the road got too curvy.

Yeah, the base PTs are weak, but the turbo version goes pretty good!

Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

Well,my mother-in-law just purchased a used 2003 BE PT with 28k miles and loves it. Is it possible to install a keyless entry system? This car does not have power windows or locks. Please suggest a solution for the above queries.Thanks.----------------------------------------bruce Smartcarquote.com offers a fresh new way to get a price quote on a new car. Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

I started the process about a year ago with my 1997 Ford Taurus LX but after some major issues with the car (transmission failure, then an expensive exhaust issue...) I decided to try and trade it in. I went to go test drive a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS, but it was in ROUGH shape. It needed some work that I really wasn't prepared to take on, and it had a lot of miles for being only 9 years old. So the dealer found me the PT, it had low mileage (12k) and more important it had a low price. I have below average credit, so that means I get to pay a whole crap load of interest, so a low starting price helped keep the monthly payments low. It still has factory warranty, and was a former fleet car, so it was maintained pretty well. One thing I noticed was that the dash bezel looked perfect for the Dynamix 816 from the Taurus.

Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

Forum is dead. Surly anyone can tell by the dates of the Pt posts that it is for desperate repair viewers only. The only thing Pt owners are madly looking for are after market parts to repair, repair, and repair.

Nobody get's nothing for NOTHING. Pretty clear response. Mine cost me $33,000, I thank you. The cost every 6 months is more. Good luck, and just be happy. Nice to have money,

Angry Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

So glad you don't have medical bills, probably daddy might pay for all. Be truthful to the majority of Americans or Canadians who canot afford, a complete front end at 40,00 miles Us. It is obvious you do not have enough money to purchase a good car on your own. Come on, a PT?????? like myself may I add. Chrysler is a No. Good luck to all the smart but struggling people Wayne

Save your pictures. I should say, take and keep picture, even if your a 57 year old back yarder like me. Also, keep dates and time. Singular conversations are legal, IN CANADA. And my friends, if you believe in the tooth fairy, you might get help. Good luck, and a Happy Holiday to all . justadad

Re: Aftermarket going crazy after PT Cruiser

My, My gosh. My mistake. most of the post are old. Possibly the views are to? Forgot. My parts dealer is making a fortune. ON PARTS. Sorry, most in Canada cannot afford fancy upgrades. Thanks for all the views. Now keep this forum running. Tell the truth, don't be embarrassed of your age or concern. We all make mistakes, we all are just human.
