popping from the carb..

Once in a great while sitting at a light, when I give it throttle to take off it'll pop from the carb. Its only done it a few times and few and far between. Its an 88 1500 4x4 350 auto with 157,000+ miles. I have'nt checked anything yet. Just looking for ideas.
Thanks in advance

problem my be too much fuel in the carb bowl.need carb rebuild kit.
the needle valve wears then the float bowl fuel level rises, esp at idle..

there is a diaphram in the throttle body injection that ruptures..then at idle it drips out fuel,,,,,too much for engine to handle..
