Question Falkens

Since I can't find any tire reviews, what experience does anyone have with them. More specificly, the ZIEX ZE-512. Also, is 17lbs the average wieght for low pro tires? This is because I'm looking for the lightest ones.

I bought some new Falken Ziex's all the way around and they are the shit. they handle extremely well in corners(and thats in 55 series), great rain traction, and all around driveability.

You shouldn't make your tire decision based on weight. Having large sticky tread blocks and stiff sidewalls make tires heavy. So if you get the lightest tire you'll be making compremises in these area's which are more important than a few extra pounds of roling weight.

I've had my falkens for just on a year now in 215/35 x18. Tyre wear has been great, traction is pretty good. They are actually relatively quiet (compared to previous toyo's), and in the wet they track pretty well.

Ony problem is that they don't make squealy noises when you do a burnout

my falkens work better in the rain then on dry pavement ... did they make it wrong?? haha ... for the price you pay i guess they are really decent tires ... but comparing them to previous tires i've owned i was a little disappointed ... they are fairly quiet though ...

What kind of tires do you suggest if not the Falkens? That are in the same price range that is.

I love my Falken Azenis. I've seen the Ziex and they are on the same line as the Kumho 712s.

What do you mean by, they don't squeal? Isnt that good? Or does it just have a different sound when it losses traction?

It depends if you want to attract attention or not....mind you with my CRX, attracting attention is never a problem...

They don't make a noise. That's the problem. They are damn quiet, no squealing or anything like that. bugger.

Well, right now I have stock wheels and tires on. Sometimes if I punch the gas and dump the clutch when I shift into second my tires let off a squeal. Do you mean to say that with these tires, they wouldn't make any noise? Sorry to keep asking you but I can't understand how a tire wouldn't squeal if it losses traction.
