2001 K2500 Headliner fan motor vibration
There is a sensor above the driver seat in the headliner with what looks like a 1.5 inch diameter speaker grill. There is an obvious fan motor sound coming from it. What is this? Some kind of a/c temperature sensor with a small fan? It is on when the car is running or in ACC. Thoroughly confused on this one...
Thanks, Bill |

Re: 2001 K2500 Headliner fan motor vibration
I believe it is called an aspirator and is used to move air across a thermistor to measure interior air temperature. I also believe it is a dealer item but not 100% sure.
A coworker had his go out and he was able to get a new one at the local dealer. //2000CAYukon Last edited by 2000CAYukon; 12-02-2009 at 10:38 AM. Reason: Minor typo |
