engine light is on, but no code

Okay I have a 2007 300 touring with the 3.5L. The check engine light came on about two weeks ago. I did the turn on and off and I get a 1004 then ------ then done. It is not showing a code at all. It did turn off for a day and came back on. Anyone know what causes this. Thanks for your help.

Re: engine light is on, but no code

Since the car is a 2007 if there is a code should remain in memory as long as the battery isnt disconnected. When the light goes out this just means it went from a active to a stored code. The code should be there even if u cycle the key a few times. If the vehicle is under factory warrenty then it may be better to take it to ur local Chrysler dealer to have them look at it
