Re: need pos neg for front door spkrs.2001
The polarity of the speaker wiring is NOT important. The only reason speakers have a positive or negative terminal is that when you have multiple speakers on the same circuit the polarity's need to be the same or sound quality will be effected.
Hope this helps.

Re: need pos neg for front door spkrs.2001
ok mr ford if driver door spkr has pos neg correct and passenger side is the opposite isnt that gonna affect the sound. also was told if there backwards the sub part of the speaker will pull in instead of thumping out. Ive sunk a grand in this thing i just dont wanna lose a bit of sound. Thanks

Re: need pos neg for front door spkrs.2001
The driver side and passenger side are two completely different circuits in the radio. Look, I thought it was a fairly clear explanation but let me try this again. Look at it like this, your speaker is basically a "Flow-through object" Meaning that current is coming in and going back to complete a circuit. All the speaker does is take that flowing current and turn it into sound. I'm telling you the only way sound will be effected is if you have two or more speakers hooked together that don't have the same current direction. You will still have sound but the quality will not be as good. IF your that worried about the sound quality and still do not believe me, take the speaker, hook it up one way and turn the radio on. Listen to the sound, and then hook it up the opposite and listen. They should be the same.
This isn't my first rodeo bud. Trust me.
