Re: My 97 Blazer is really hard to start cold...
Unmeterd Air is sneaking into your Inake, this will confuse your ECU, PCU, and throw codes.
Visual Inspect - 1) Check plastic, rubber, seals, and gaskets on your PCV, and EGR systems. 2) Check your Air box , and Air duck going to your Intake. 3) Caution -Technicians use a spray break cleaner to check for unmetered air leaks while the engine is running. All Air is metered going into the engine, the PCU will control the Air/fuel mix. The MAF sensor sends a signal to the PCU, on how much air is being used ? ,the Upsteam O2 sensor tells the PCU, how well it's being burned. A bad Massive Air Flow (MAF) sensor will cause a cold hard start. See http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=768631 |
