Yeah that's what I've been hearing. You'd think they'd bring it out a lot quicker, considering it's former popularity Stateside. It's already out in Japan, right? I haven't been keeping track of such cars these days--It's just torture, plain and simple to inform myself of cars that I cannot yet afford.

I like to look at cars in two way, family cars, and 'performance' cars. This way you don't have to worry about 2,3,4,5.......doors.
what do you consider the EVO Lancers to be? In normal terms I would say a sports car before a family car, as this was its intended purpose.

I think the concept of the RX8 is good.
Real sports car performance with the practicality of 4 seats and 4 doors.

Have you heard the rumour yet that apparently Mazda have built a 3 rotor version? not sure where this started, or if its true or not (I doubt it, but hope it is true).

no, the enigne is still 2 rotors, but sitll good, nice balance for twin turbo, cuz tiwn turboing a 3 rotor is weird. but there are 3 rotors avaliable at www.alamorotary.com, they import jdm 20b's for transplant into late model rx-7's, i dunno if they can do the same for the rx-8 when it comes out tho.

has anyone ever heard that mazda might come out with a rx-8 coupe?

and i heard the price is 25-30k, can anyone confirm that?

I've heard that a convertible version may be offered (I have no idea what they would do with the suicide door setup) but again, there is no confirmation for this rumor.

I have recently aquired a direct statement from Mazda (my connections) that the RX-8 will range from 26--- to the high twentys and low thirties. Although this is an estimate from my "connection" it may be subject to change without notice. I will leave news when I get it.........but for now KEEP SAVING!!!!!

The RX-8 concept is good but hope they (Mazda ppl) add some RX-7 touches to final production...a lil' bit more sexy n aggressive.

Anyway, I hope Mazda comes out w/ a Mazdaspeed tuned RX-8 or RX-8 MPS (Mazda Performance Series). Actually, I think they will coz' they have come out with Mazdaspeed/MPS version of Protege, Atenza, MX-5(coming soon) and RX-7.
