2003 6.0 ltr diesel missing on cold start

My Ford diesel when it's cold, will miss and sputter until the engine temp reaches it's normal operating temp. What's up?

Try adding a decent diesel fuel conditioner / injector cleaner to the tank before filling. Drive for a tankfull or two and you may see an improvement.

Also, this truck has a manual fuel / water seperator, right? Have you drained it recently?

Also, try changing your fuel filter, if you have not done so recently.

Fuel conditioner wont do anything for a miss. Its a HUEY injector. You more than likely have an injector going bad. If i were to guess i would say number 5. Its usually the one that goes out on 6 liters. Also when do you change your oil? Believe it or not its the most important thing you can do as preventative maintenance on a powerstroke.

How about an ''Out of truck injector service''
A diesel shop can Micro bath, blowout, and test the flow rate.

I would honestly just graph the injectors, Find out witch one it is and replace it. They aren't that bad.
