leaking anti-freeze. !! HELP !!
i went to start my blazer tonight and it took a sec to catch, like it hesitated to start.. like old trucks do on cold days. Well i told my bf and he reved it a few times and warmed it up then i said UH OH i smell anti-freeze. Sure enuf its dripping out (only when running and sorta warm like 205degrees) from back behind the engine.. between the tranny and the engine really. It isnt the radiator bcuz its so far back, it doesnt look like its any of the radiator hoses (upper and lower anyway) and i looked @ my valves and head and it isnt leaking there. What could be a reason my truck is leaking anti-freeze when it warms up? It doesnt leak when its sitting shut off... A friend of mine mentioned if it isnt a hose that is hiden up there that i cant see it might be my engine block has a crack.. but what else could it be?
HELP ME!!

Only a pressure test and a good look around will find the source.

Re: leaking anti-freeze. !! HELP !!
Go to AutoZone and borrow the radiator pressure tester. It is a small hand held tire pump with a Radiator cap and Pressure gauge on it. When your engine is shut off and cold, remove your Radiator cap and attach the pressure tester. Pump up to the pressure rating of the cap. Then with a flashlight, you should be able to pin point the leak.

Re: leaking anti-freeze. !! HELP !!
If the intake manifold gaskets haven't been changed, I'll bet big money on those. Just changed mine on my 98 Blazer. Shop wanted $413 for shop and labor. I prolly spent about $75 for gaskets, oil, coolant, beers.
