some little more pics to arrive to how it looks today guys..
I had to fix the fitting of the windshield.
In the toy this has a poor fitting cause there are a lot of metal parts,so had carefully to remove all.
Also the front of the car need some more putty mixed with superglue to create a more strong surface to repanel the bonnet lines.

and is also time to fix the air intakes in the lower back of the car
All done with 0.15 mm plasticard.

No,think I will not make copies of this car,mostly cause I really dunno if I will ever end it well (is a while to turn a w.i.p. into a r.i.p....u know ).
For sure the car is very interesting,but from here to provide a complete quality kit there is still a lot of work to do.

The last update is for another refinishing of the front end and the build of the rear rims.
They are made by a new italian company (NTM) , and are still not used on any other race car. Those rims create problems to the team during the Campionato cause they had some technical failure,and they broke 2 times during racing.

To build the rims, I started clean carefully the basic ones gave by the toy, and the external part (and probably tire too... we will see) will come from a scrapped Porsche 962C.
The dimensions are nearly ok (just tire is a little too wider), but diameter is ok to drawings and model.
The overall look of the rear is taken.... just at today I have no idea on how to make the front wheels...

This is the status at today of my model..now is time to draw the decal sheet.
I will do theme with Alps printer (with the very helpful skill of a friend of mine).

Not sure how I missed this first time, but this is such a great wip to follow. A stunning car to replicate and very impressive bodywork skills you have. I can't wait to see it hit with colour. I would totally be interested in buying a resin too . Keep it up!

Thank u all guys, forum support helps a lot in the progress of the wip.

I gave to the model another shade of primer and also spent a lot of time trying to get the correct setup with wheels on.
Being basically a curbside model, I think the external appeal (and setup) will be a vital part for the final look of this car.

meanwhile i go on with the decal drawing work...

one wonder though; isn't the wheels problem due to the fact that tyres seem a bit too thick ? this may be my opinion but track tyres seem to me not so thick...

yes, was looking to that, for the rear wheel mostly.

I add a pic here of the real one when delivered.They anyway dont look thin as the ultra low profile ones used for example on modern prototypes
