Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

The French guy need your help .
My Blazer is a 2000 4doors LT, 4x4 , V6 4,3l (W) , Automatic gear box .
I have a crack in the upper plastic part driver side of the radiator .
I think it's meaning a change of it .
What are your recomandations (brand , part number ) for such a change without modifications in the connections sizes (bolt on) .
Does one , completely builded with aluminium , needing no modification , exist ?
Thanks for your help and recomandations .

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Thanks for the information . So I will change .
Being in France I will need to import a new radiator that's why I would appréciate to have your recommandation for the best brand .
Due to the fact that the import and change will take around 3 weeks, and my cooling liquid being Dexcool , do you think that I may try to use a can of stop leak product during these 3 weeks ?
Thanks for help .

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Modine and Radi rad are two I can think of.

Leave rad cap lose and try a little stop leak.
Also fresh coolant has some stop leak in it.

Try a auto Zone on line store and GM parts store and see if the will ship you a radiator.
Good Luck

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Rockauto site ship to France .
They are offering either a Proliance #431405 radiator or a AC Delco one . The last one is rather 3 times the price of the Proliance !
I am searching for quality and direct bolt on .
What would be your choice quality wise ?
Because of such a gap between prices is this gap a real question of quality or because the AC Delco is the OEM and Proliance an after market ?

You are welcome.

I have never used Proliance

Ac delco is good but high and the rad is usually made by some other company.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

I have asked the question to Rockauto customer service .
I will let you informed .
Thanks for the great support .
For information I have read on another forum that Transpro has merged with modine to become Proliance .

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Try some pc10 epoxy on the crack. I used it on an old toyota and it work for a long time, in fact until I got rid of the car.

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Thanks everybody for the support.
The radiator shop guy has "pumped " 1.5 l of coolant and replace it with pure Dexcool and just 10cl of "stop -leak" and leak seems to be stopped........ for the time to order and receive the new radiator ?
Please could you answer my question about what would be your choice , without considering the price , between the Proliance and the AC Delco radiator ?

I would try to find out who makes the AC Delco radiators.
May even go back to Proliance/Modine makes them for AC-Delco.

After you mentioned the Proliance brand I think I have used some of them from aftermaket radiator suppliers.

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

I have used Radi-Rad and Transpro/Modine radiators.
AND HAVE NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

Most parts places put a 3 year or lifetime warranty on them.
AC delco from a GM dealer may only carry a year warranty.
Good Luck

Re: Help please ! Crack in the radiator .

Thanks to all of you for advices .
My choice is made and I will stay with stock OEM even if it's more expensive than Proliance at Rockauto .
The garage in Paris that was importing Chevrolet in France and maintain my Blazer (now only Cadillac is imported , no Tahoe or Silverado anymore officialy imported in France !) does only accept to work on OEM spares ..........
