2000 Grand Cherokee-no brake lights
I'm trying to help a friend with her Grand Cherokee...
She got stopped by the police today who told her that she only had one functioning brake light bulb. When I looked at the car this evening, she had NO functioning brake lights at all. The running lights, and backup/turn signals work. We switched the bulbs and replaced the brake switch under the dash with no luck. I couldn't find a fuse specifically for the brake lights, but there was a fuse for the switch and it was good. My only other guess is a short somewhere in the wiring...any ideas? -Mike

Re: 2000 Grand Cherokee-no brake lights
You should have power at the switch on the pink w/dark blue wire. If there is no power check fuse #23 in the junction block. Having the owners manual will help you identify the fuse a little easier.

Re: 2000 Grand Cherokee-no brake lights
Never mind, she took it to the stealership to let them fix (geez, another day and we'd have had it)
Thanks anyway!

Out of curiousity, did they say what the problem was?
