not sure what it is , a/c pump works but leaks oil , etc car doen't over heat and its a 1996 i30 . any ideas what it is

Mileage?
Whats down there: Loose or bad belt, pwr steering pump, alternator, water pump. Check in that order. Noise (bad bearing etc) can be located with a stethoscope; buy one from car accessory shop, maybe 10$ ...

Calculate if all is worth for those years you plan to keep it. Next buy the parts or swap the car for another one... btw, excel sheet here is a wonderful tool.

it's the a/c pump, when i turn the pump on it stops, guess it's time to swap out the bearing or spray some wd-40 etc on the bearing, car was driven thru a clay and sand pit sooooooo, damn, but thanks for the help
