Brake bias panel
Has anyone installed a brake bias panel in there RA or WC cars?. I would like to keep the braided hoses or steel tubing on the inside of the fire wall. Looking for some constructive ideas. I would like to make plug and play.

Re: Brake bias panel
Jim,
I am surprised you don't have this - please excuse the disaster - I am currently rewiring everything (and will be doing some winter cleaning/painting too). the Blue knob of course is the bias knob, the black cable leads to the rear of the brake cylinders - if you move yours out of the cockpit, please send photo's - coz I really hate where they are mounted:

Re: Brake bias panel
I think Jim is asking about the brake bias gauges not the actual knob?

Re: Brake bias panel
We put these http://www.pitstopusa.com/ShowImage....s/LON44136.jpg in the braded lines just T into the brake system and we mounted the panel on the far left of the dash. Helps to see how much real force you are generating prior to lock up etc. Also easy to see if something is losing pressure.

Re: Brake bias panel
sorry after looking at the picture of the Willwood master cylinder there is plenty of room and a piece of cake. Thanks for the photo. I now can order the fittings.

Re: Brake bias panel
I have installed the Longacre bias gauge panel and it was very easy. Plug and play with the correct fittings. Took 15 mins. If anyone wants the bill of material just let me know. Early morning runs should be a breeze now with out front lock up.

Re: Brake bias panel
I have one to install in my car...we had the shop do the other car...I hate working tight up under the windshield. Was it hard to get the air out of the lines? I bought the gauges from PAD with the fittings so I hope I have all the right peices.

Re: Brake bias panel
The Longacre unit has the bleeds built into it and was very easy to bleed. There is plenty of room if you have the correct fittings and hoses. I put the brake bias panel on the switch panel and not on the dash like Pad, This way you can remove the dash with little effort. Before you start check your hoses to make sure they flow I had one that was blocked and had to make a quick trip to Summit.

Re: Brake bias panel
Give me an e-mail address and I will send them to you by Monday. I purchased 36" lines from Summit. Fast and easy. I wish every thing went that well.
