Steering Wheel Lights

I have a 99 Grand Prix GT that has the radio controls on the steering wheel. The lights in the radio controls no longer work. Any idea what to check?
Thanks

Re: Steering Wheel Lights

Welcome to AF!

How many miles are on your car?

I'd be willing to bet they are burnt out. You can order replacements through ZZP here.

and I even think there is a tech repair write up on removal and installation. Maybe at ZZP, or else check the tips and maintenance subforum on AF.

Re: Steering Wheel Lights

There are 170,000km on it. Do you have to replace the buttons or just the bulb?

Re: Steering Wheel Lights

You would better off using LEDS then the incandescent lamps. LEDs are more durable then the incandescents lamps.

Re: Steering Wheel Lights

There probably is a way to replace just the bulbs, but they will probably need to be soldered like all the other bulbs in the dash of the car.

Only way to find out is to take them out, take them apart, and have a look.
