1999 1.8T passat high rpms

Hi
I have a 1999 passat 1.8t it as 187000km on it
In the last few weeks it started to rev really high when you start it up and in a few seconds it go down to it normal idling speed.
Can someone please help me with this problem

Check for vacuum hose leaks/holes.
