please help 3.1 not starting

okay i replaced my lim along with the gaskets. cleaned and reinstalled the rocker arms torquing them put it all together and the engine won't start it will roll over but not start it is a 98 GP SE

My memory is very fuzzy here but I think the pushrods on the 3.1 are different lengths between intake and exhaust (!!)

The other likely possibility is that you've crossed up spark plug wires.

Yup, they are two different lengths. Mix them up and you will be pulling the heads to have the valves replaced. Also make sure you have all three connectors plugged into the module.

The guys are right, different pushrod lengts. However, I have also had instances where the lifters were pumped up and just needed to be bled down which just meant leaving it sit for a while.

Have you checked for compression, fuel, and spark?
