I had same problem with a new engine and there are 2 vaccum hoses going from fender well pass side red and a green one, they are in like a wiring harness. They were cracked and broken in various spots, replaced them and runs like a raped ape. But sounds like a vaccum problem to me. one of the hoses leads to the plenum the other to the EGR valve also peel back the covering of the tube that goes from EGR to exhalst manifold, cheap pipe real flemsy can't buy new one but sure can JB Weld it to seal it. Hey I am having same problem with my 87 bronco2 and I have changed both fuel filters
And pumps I unhooked my egr and it run worse and I was told since it did that the egr was good I have changed the vacuum lines to it and everything all all ha e talked bout
But it still does it mine is set up for off road and bout two weeks ago I crossed a river and dropped off in a hole didn't get stuck but water
Was up over my door handles and that's when it started. If anyone has any advice for me I would gladly appreciate it
