Lancer EVO's 4g63

I don't own a Mitsubishi, but I'm fascinated by the company's Lancer EVOs. I don't understand the differences in the platforms which both use or have used the 4g63. The Lancer EVO is the superior, but is there some sort of upgraded turbo or a more aggressive tuned 4g63 in the EVOs as compared to those found in AWD Eclipse models? If someone can help break down the fundamental differences between the Lancer EVOs and the Eclipse GSX(that was AWD correct) of the late 90s.
Also I'm wondering if EVOs suffer from the crankwalk phenomenon aswell? I liked the 99 Eclipse GSX, but the Lancer EVOs have been kept of US shores for far too long.

From one enthusiast to another, I don't mean to bother anyone or ask stupid questions, I'm just out to learn about one of the greatest cars in production

the 4g63 was in every turbo eclipse/lalon/laser. the evos 4g63 has holow cam shafts, super 16g turbo, better exhaust manifold, better pistons, better valves, better intake manifold, basically better everything, and its made out of some type of magnesium, or something thats really light weight.

Thank you for the information. I'm just fascinated by the EVO lineage. This will undoubtedly be the car on the streets upon it's US release. Any speculation on whether or not the upgraded EVO packages will be offered stateside, or who the top EVO tuners will be this side of the Pacific?

Not to be nosey, but what kind of jobs does everyone planning on getting an EVO have? I'm going to be going to graduate school, and wonder if I'll be able to get one. I just wonder how long it will take me before I'll be able to afford one.

Thank you,

Nabeeh Hasan

we get them from bocures, what past evos have had, and what the current evo has in the rest of the world. we might a get a slightly de-tuned version b/c of us emmisions, but not mre than 10 hp less.
