Re: 96 Pontiac Bonneville funny skawking noise

I have a 96 bonneville 3.8 non turbo. I just had the intake manifold replaced on it and then a coil pack. Car was running great but now is make a awful skawking noise when in idle, it might on the highway but i cant hear it. I dont believe its the serpentine belt, i just changed that like 20K ago and its looks good. It does sound like its coming from there. Is it possible that is could be the harmonic balancer? if so is that hard to change? There are no lights on indicating something wrong nothing is out of the ordinary except it sound awful, please help.

Re: 96 Pontiac Bonneville No start Please Help

From here a noise as you describe is guess work only, take the belt off see if it goes way for starters.

94 gmc sierra clicking noise

I have a 94 GMC Sierra with a ticking noises in the dash!! When you start the truck, it makes a clicking noise - over on the passenger side of the dash maybe in a vent...sounds like a piece of cardboard hitting a fan...after the ignition has been on for a minute or two, it stops. It happens again when we shut it off. Any ideas??
Thanks!!

Re: 96 Pontiac Bonneville No start Please Help

You need to start a new thread for the Pontiac, this is unrelated and the thread is too old, second post the gmc issue where it belongs in the GMC forum, thanks.
