Re: 02 grand prix 3.8 starting problem

Folks, I strongly suspect this thread is a fake. It fits the pattern and style of numerous bogus threads that have flooded the Muscle Car forum(where this thread originated) in recent weeks.

However, as a mod, I am just moving it to the appropriate forum, and I'll leave it up to you if you wish to add to the discussion.

Re: 02 grand prix 3.8 starting problem

What would be the purpose of a bogus post? (just curious)

Grand prix man, if you are real, I would check the operation of the IAC motor. Maybe pull it off the throttle body, clean it and its bore with a toothbrush and car cleaner, and put it back in. See if that helps at all. Iy might just need to be replaced.

Good question.
Go to Muscle Cars - General Discussion. You will see many threads that have been moved. Look at those threads and compare their wording, sentence structure, (bad) punctuation etc. This one fits the pattern.

All these threads involve asking brief, vague, inane questions about cars that are obviously NOT muscle cars yet all posted in the same, inappropriate forum in the last month. Typically these threads are so vague as to be unrealistic, and usually the original posters never return. ..... neither I nor other mods can fathom why this has started in the past month, except for the nuisance value, possibly??. (A software glitch has been ruled out as a cause)

But the Muscle Car forum has been in existence for 8 years and this has never occured before... hence my suspicion that it's deliberate. .

Interesting.... Could it possibly be a Bot? Could changing the URL of the muscle car forum put an end to it?
