96 3.9L 2500 Ram Van TPS?

I am having lost of power during acceleration.
I have ohmed out the TSP and the ohms move up without any missing.
Can the TSP still be bad?
Or is there another problem?

What made you test the TPS?
Is the engine light on?
Do you have any codes?

It's not likely the TPS is bad if it ohmed out okay.

When was its last tune-up, (i.e. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter?)
Check for a misfire,fuel pressure,air filter.

Re: 96 3.9L 2500 Ram Van TPS?

Plugs, cap and rotor as well as air cleaner have been changed.
I also replaced the fuel pump.
Before replacing the fuel pump the van would run for about 5mins and them backfire thur the intake and then die.
Replacing the fuel pump has stopped the backfiring and the engine dieing.
I now have the problem of the engine losing power during acceleration.
It only loses power for a few seconds.

I would replace the crank sensor. The crank sensor controls spark and ultimately the timing for spark advance. Also, a bad crank sensor does not throw a trouble code. And before you ask, yes, an engine can still run with a bad crank sensor.
